Ok, so now for (yet again) something new on here... Ash's Favorites! (real original name, right?) Every week or so, I'll gab a bit about one of my favorite things; whether it be bands, clothes, beauty products, etc.
This week's Favorite: Anthem Lights!!!
Anthem Lights is a Christian/Pop band made up of four great guys: Chad Graham, Joseph (Joey)Stamper, Caleb Grimm, and Alan Powell. A little background history (compliments of some Wikipedia and Google research :), the band originally was entitled "Yellow Cavalier" by founding member Chad. Originally a solo-career of Graham's, the band formed in 2008 by current members Grimm, Powell, and former member Kyle Kupecky. A self-titled EP was released in 2009, then the band's name was changed to Anthem Lights. Kupecky left the group in early 2012; with current member Joey Stamper being the newest member a week later. Anthem Lights had released (as of September 3rd, 2014) two full albums, three EPs, five singles, and has made five compilation appearances.
Random Facts:
1: Three of the current four members are married (Alan, Chad, and Caleb), and Caleb's wife is in another Christian pop band, One Girl Nation.
2: Alan is the star of a upcoming drama, The Song, which will be released on September 26th, 2014.
3: The band is mentoring another upcoming group "The George Twins", which is another of my Favorites and will be given a separate article on this blog in the near future :)
4: All of the members strongly support modesty and actually have a song specifically for what they like in a girl. ( link for lyric video here )
5: Anthem Lights does frequent livestreams on YouTube where the fans can chat with the band members and have them answer questions ( link for Anthem Lights' YouTube channel here )
